Youri, a pretty Japanese girl who just passed a college entrance exam, is ecstatic after her first kiss with her handsome childhood friend-turned-boyfriend, Himuro. Meanwhile, she starts to notice that water becomes agitated whenever she goes near it! One night, hands appear out of a puddle on the street and drag her into the water. She emerges from the water to find that she has been transported to an ancient village somewhere in the Middle East. Reread 2019 : Nostalgia vibes. This is the book that introduced me to the world of Manga and I'm very thankful for it. It shows it age, and if I read this for the first time now, as a 28 year old. I probably wouldn't rate it as highly, but I have an emotional connection with this Manga, because it's what paved the way into reading more Manga. I reread it every year wondering how on earth my mother didn't notice the 17+ rating and laugh. It goes into so much ancient world history. Details youA good start with an equally good art.
