Worried her world will either get him killed or leave him with scars he'll never overcome, she keeps pushing him away. Kane refuses to be deterred though. He loves the girl he believes is meant for him. Dark secrets emerge all around the two of them, putting them both in the line of fire and destroying the beauty of their love. The question is, how strong is their love?

I liked it enough but gawd damn did it drag with repetitive info. Usually when books irk me this way I leave it at that but dammit I wanna know how it ends. fml.

If you follow my reviews, you'll know I have a major reader crush on Kristy Cunning's The Dark Side series. Kristy Cunning is another pen name for the talented C.M. Owens, so when I saw this paranormal series of hers, I just couldn't help myself. Instant purchase.  I finished reading this book on the 12th of July, but it took me some time to actually get around to writing the review. Why? Because I was too caught up in reading the next book in the series. It's been some time since I've been

I was a bit skeptical but I got this free so I figured I might as well...good thing I tried it!Overall, lots of supernaturals (vampires, shape shifters, witches, etc), lots of romance, some erotic scenes, some mystery, bit of humor...and an interesting story. The heroine of the book, Alyssa, is decent. She's a bit sheltered, and it shows, but overall I found her likable. I did think she was a bit too stubborn/hardheaded but that's what makes this a story, I guess. Lots and lots of hot guys - all

OMG!!!! I am so HOOKED!I just bought book 2! I will have to read so slowly so I won't be jonesing for the third installment in this series! As an editor and fellow author I was stunned reading this. I have told my friends about this book and author! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one! You really get pulled into Alyssa's world and that of those around her. Learning to understand the struggles of all of those around her as well as what she's facing. You want to believe there is more than meets the eye with

Loved this, but was gutted there wasn't a second one to read straight after. I've gotten very greedy with books - I like to find a set and read them all one after the other. This first book was free, so I thought I would give it a go, and it was well worth it. I'll be keeping an eye out for the next one.

I find this book lame, I Don't like it when in a story it's told over and over how strong and powerful is the MC and yet again, she just goes with the flow, blush and cries all the time, needing rescue over and over I can't Believe it's the same author as the wild series, or the pretty monster, I Don't get it...
