Rendition In Favor Of Books Death Note, Vol. 9: Contact (Death Note #9)

Light has always been confident in his ability to out-think everyone, but L's protégés are proving to be more of a challenge than he anticipated. The more Light mentally maneuvers, the tighter the net around him becomes. And now Near and Mello are working to break the task force apart and expose Kira from within! Light has always held up under pressure in the past, but will the stress of this new line of attack and the strain of maintaining three different personalities be the beginning of his end?

Evaluate Appertaining To Books Death Note, Vol. 9: Contact (Death Note #9)
I preferred the plot with Ryuzaki much more, dont know why I cant get myself to enjoy this series anymore

Didn't enjoy this one much, it was a little too dull and convoluted for my liking. Light, Near, and Mello trying to outsmart each other wasn't all that entertaining, and the various notebooks/owners/rules were difficult and irritating to follow at times. Also, there wasn't enough Misa Misa, she was the most fun character in the series and she was barely in it.. Matsuda was pretty great though. Hope the next one isn't such a dragged out mess.

I really don't know how to feel about this volume. It took me quite some time to get through it simply because I picked it up fairly infrequently and I never read a chunk of it in one sitting, so it feels DRAGGED OUT even though quite a few things go down in the course of the book. I still don't like that Light aka Kira isn't on top of his game and his more reactive than actively plotting which I miss from the first few novels where it always seemed like he was ahead or at least on the same page

Meh......,

Without L...the real L... It's just not the same...

I cant help but feel like this is dragging on unnecessarily. The sense of urgency in this story has depleted. This could probably be because there is no one I actually care about now. I couldnt care less who lives or dies. I really miss L.
