4.25 starsFatal Harmony is the first book in The Vein Chronicles series by Anne Malcom. I have never read anything else by this author, and what a tragedy that is! I was completely blown away by this amazing story! Islas upbringing and basically her entire life story broke my heart. She has endured so much in her lifetime, and I just want her to be happy. There is social unrest amongst the members of the supernatural community, and they are throwing a wrench in her aforementioned happiness byFirst paranormal book for this author...and she has killed it <---- vampires, killed it, get it?!!! Although I could slap her for the cliffhanger!Isla: 'Evil doesnt exist. Neither does good. Vampires do, though. I just happen to be one.'And what a vamp Isla is! Love her. Sarcastic, funny, sassy and cares more about her shoe collection than the woes of the supernatural world. That is until a slayer and a Vamp King enter her world!King Rick and Thorne. This was a great paranormal romance but I just feel like something was missing. Maybe Isla and Thornes romance was too rushed? Maybe I wanted Isla and Rick to have a shot at romance?
