Amy Gaer is a busy working wife and mother with young twin boys and a precocious teenage daughter. After returning home from a hectic day at work, Amy greets her children and carves out a few minutes to listen to her daughter sing. A delicate, silky melody fills the air, and Amy's mind drifts back more than twenty years to a time when everything changed for her…

It's 1992. Grunge is on the rise. “Hair bands” are fading. Amy graduates from college and despite a talent for music, she's determined to chase the corporate ladder. Returning to rural Iowa for the summer to live at home with her parents, all her plans shift when Amy meets a local farmer named Nick. A romance blossoms and suddenly the previously banal landscape becomes beautiful. But settling into a life with Nick is far more complicated than she expected, and she is faced with decisions that will alter her life forever.

For fans of Emily Giffin and Sophie Kinsella, Goodbye Def Leppard (I'll Miss Those Jeans) is a lighthearted yet poignant tale about life, fate, and the difficult choices we make.

Notice Out Of Books Good-Bye Def Leppard: I'll Miss Those Jeans
This is a cute story. Really, it is.Now to the buts. This badly needs a proper edit and proofread. There are more mistakes than should have slipped through the net. It's not only typos. Some dramatic events are glazed over, not properly explained and have no consequences. The diary entries don't bring the story forward. The author uses song lyrics in the text throughout, but there is no mention of permission from the writers.I liked the story, the characters, the 1990s setting and - as a rock

Great read!Loved this book!! It was so sweet! I loved their story! Its so easy to relate too and be in love with your husband but wonder about your career choices or lose sight of the important things!!

Fun read.Great story. It manages to be thought provoking as well as light, easy, and fun. The characters are likable and believable. The story is structured and paced well, and I loved the way the story was set in present time, recollection, then present time again. The personal cliffhanger kept the reader engaged. Rock songs titled each chapter; I found that nostalgic and cool. I also enjoyed the wit of some of the characters. I do wish it had been edited one more time. The storys pace was

Present-day mom of three Amy Gaer recounts her experiences back in the early nineties when she was a college student coming home to her parents in rural Iowa where her musician and law school dreams eventually change when she meets dashing farmer Nick. Amy recalls the times she got to meet Nicks family to how she makes peace with a high school boyfriend of hers to her adventures as a bank teller for a small-town bank in Loam County. Also, Amys father calls her Amos probably due to the fact that

Cute little chick lite read. Mom retelling her kids the story of how she met and fell in love with her dad. I enjoyed the setting as it is set in Iowa and Omaha, where I love. Sweet little story of a woman finding herself and figuring out what matters to her in life. Wondering if it is autobiographical...

Quite enjoyable read, although there were quite a few typos which was distracting.

The title of this one caught my eye and I put it on my maybe shelf. Finally I decided to dive in and give this one a try. There is so much that I should have liked. I was roughly the same age as the character in the past, I lived in IA, so much was understandable. However I was bored, so very bored. I realized that I didn't care to know what happened to Amy and Nick in the past, if they dated or more. In the end this one wasn't for me.
